I love to use used homeschool curriculum. Really I do! It saves me so much money on my sons education. I would not be able to do as much in the elective area if I had to pay full price for all his books. But, there is a downside. Always make sure that the things you buy are actually able to be used again. No missing pager, writing that covers important things, or even missing a key element. I bought a whole set of books and when they came, they were unusable! Several pages were missing, and the rest were so scribbled on that they were unreadable. It was a total loss!
